Trey James is the co-founder and CEO of Xcentric. Trey brings 17 years of experience with a blend of executive, strategic, technical and operational roles, including successful roles with regional firms, local firms and leading IT consultancies to the profession. Trey presents internationally on industry related technology topics and is passionate both about learning and educating as it pertains to the future of the CPA profession. He graduated from Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, TX with BS in Information Systems. You can find him and his wife, Amy on the weekend, along with their two children, relaxing on the deck and grilling out for friends and family.

Christian James is the Chief Sales Officer and a founder of Xcentric. Mr. James is a seasoned veteran, having worked in the technology industry for the past ten years. He has a business degree from Texas Wesleyan University and was the former Director of Technology for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Fort Worth. He moved to the Atlanta area in 2000 after selling his first business, Covenant Systems. He has multiple technology certifications and is often found speaking at CPA Conferences to groups of IT Partners. Mr. James was the lead technology engineer at CPA Systems prior to starting Xcentric.

Mike Walter is the Director of Professional Services at Xcentric.  He oversees the business requirements and technical architecture and implementation of Xcentric’s systems and technologies.  Mike was also on the team responsible for the conceptualization, design, development, and operation of Xcentric’s Gray Matter™ system. Prior to his appointment at Xcentric, he was the IT Manager at Mediaworks.  There he led the division that researched, developed, and implemented hardware and software technologies for its consumer market. Mike received a bachelor’s degree from Covenant College in organizational management and was a former Accountant before he moved to the technology arena nearly a decade ago.  Mike is married and has 2 children. He is very active in tennis and is practicing for his future match at Wimbledon.

Tim Porterfield became Xcentric’s controller in 2004 after working in the accounting industry for 6 years. He graduated from Georgia State University although his loyalty lies with the Georgia Bulldogs. He has aided Xcentric over the last 4 years, which has averaged a 30% growth year over year, in implementing systems and practices that keep the leaders abreast of information to make the right decisions. Tim and Lauren married in 2006 and he skips out of work early on Fridays to make it to their co-ed softball league. They love taking on projects around the house and Tim is often consulted when someone in the office has a “how to” question.
